Hi,
I will be heading over to Thailand in December on my own and want to spend Christmas and new year on either Koh Tao or Koh Phangan. I want to stay in the same place for about 10 days and I plan on going to the party on Haad Rin for new year but would like to stay somewhere with a bit of a party atmosphere but not too full on where I could meet other travellers. I was looking at Sairee beach on Koh Tao but I'm not sure how much hassle it would be trying to get to the new year party on Koh…
Thanks to most of you for your erm, thoughts. Apparently a far more specific request was required here; traditional in the sense of traditional decor, no English scran etc, no wash buckets outside, no eating on the floor, and no scabby dives - think Robert Carslisle off his baps pearing over your partition wall - nah!
We'd like to be relatively close to the KSR, yet not within earshot of our fellow revellers! We're flying into Bangkok en route elsewhere, staying just a few nights, and would…
I'm sure this will put a dent in the scam services being offered on KSR!!!

Hey guy im going on a 19 day trip in thailand starting in the beginning of July, I know I want to spend most of my time in the islands i the Gulf of Thailand, and fly to Bangkok for my last couple day, I can't decide wether to do northern Thailand, like Chiang Mai, or take the overnight train to Laos for 5 days or so ( 2 days in the capital and three days tubing im thinking) and then train to the islands via Bangkok( im assuming thats the most direct and economical rout). I wont be in Thailand…

The crazy party scene is mostly at the Full Moon Party at Ko Phangan its not such a big issue elsewhere . When you say beautiful beaches what is your attitude to development ?- Railay beach for example is quite built up . South part of Ko Lanta is less developed than north part. You can find far cheaper accomm on some of these islands if you stay back from the beach in bungalow style accomm . April is start of rainy season on Krabi side , on Samui side less rain but very hot in April. You…

- ('has to create a virtual drive on the hard disk')
No it doesn't. It creates a virtual drive in memory which is why the os will refuse to run if there is unsuffient memory.
Any live cd that tries to use a local hd is crap although I still have to find one that would do such a thing.
btw. linux doesn't have a page file it's called swap and is usually a seperate partition. Don't necessarily needs swap either (if there is enough memory installed).
