For the record: I've never been to Yakushima, so can't help with that, and Nagasaki's my favourite prefecture on Kyushu. So definitely do another trip and go there.

I'm a fit and active 66-year-old woman, pretty much fluent in Spanish. I've been to Spain once (Madrid, Granada, Cadiz, Menorca) and want to return in 2020 because I loved it so much. It's my dream destination. This time I want to go to Santiago de Compostela, Gijon, Salamanca and Caceres.

I'm pretty easy-going but I need my space and privacy at regular intervals (an introvert, you know -- need time to charge batteries). My solo trip to Spain was fantastic but would have been even better with a compatible travel partner. I'm very well educated. Photography is one of my major activities wherever I travel, and I love to eat, drink and talk to locals. My budget is moderate. I need comfort and a private room and bath, but certainly not luxury.

Anyone interested?

Nowhere near my notes at the moment to give addresses, but we've eaten well at Terra and Os Tibetanos (both veggie, even though we're not), the roof top cafe at Cinematica Portugueses, Ristorante Da Vinci near Rossio railway station and at one of trio of same owner chicken places in on of the side streets near Rossio (Bon Jardim if memory serves me right.

Also had a good curry at a small place near the ramp leading up to the entrance of San Jorge castle.

Hope that this helps - sorry about the lack of addresses (note books and guidebooks are nowhere near me at the moment!).

My family of 6 (me, wife, 4 kids) will be in Japan in January. We have already booked Tokyo and Kyoto at either end of the trip. We have free Friday night until Sunday night. I wanted to ski for a day, some of the kids might want a lesson, the rest not interested. Looking for a place with a nice Ryokan where I can ski, they can go to Onsen, and within a few hours of Tokyo

Hello, my friends and I are planning 9 days trip from Arusha to local national parks in January (Serengeti and more). Our final destination is Victoria's lake, we've 4WD car rented, we would like to find any local guide for these few days, which would help us looking for accommodation and trip planing.

The question is, would you recommend any?
Second question- is it hard to find a accommodation in Northern Tanzania without previous booking?
Thank your for your answers.

I’m having real problems trying to sort an itinerary out for me and my friends in Panama for Christmas and New Year

We arrive on the 19th December and go to Bocas del Toro on the 21st for 6 nights, I’m totally stuck about what to do between the 27th and the 3rd Jan when we fly home

My friends want some luxuries for the rest of the trip (nothing too basic for accommodation), and some good nightlife for New Year

San Blas is too basic for them (I thought may be nice between Christmas and New Year)
Looked at Contadora for New Year but too quiet
Looked at cruises around San Blas but can’t sleep on board
They’re not city dwellers, so would rather not be in Panama City if it can be helped (But if there are some incredible, not to be missed parties for NY it’s certainly be considered)

I’ve just read that Boquete and Playa Venao are good for NY for nightlife?

Any ideas for an itinerary between the 27th Dec and the 3rd Jan would be appreciated

Thanks

We will be in Spain and Portugal, leaving soon and my traveling companion has odd dietary issues. Does anyone know if rice milk and rice crackers are sold in the supermarkets? We will be starting in Barcelona and are hoping to be able to pick up food there for the rest of the trip.

Hi all

I’m due to fly early August to Colombia, for an 8 week trip through a Colombia/Ecuador/Peru and Bolivia, flying back at the end of September.

At the moment I only have flights booked, but I am hoping to start planning my trip in the next few weeks.
With everything at the moment with Coronavirus, I am unsure where I stand with this trip with it being so far away. The flights are booked through Expedia - all airlines/companies are saying unless your flight is within 3 days don’t contact then, which I understand. I don’t have travel insurance - this might sound stupid but I was ALWAYS going to get insurance, I just don’t pay annually like a lot of people, but I realise now with COVID-19 this may not cover this if I need to get it.

Please can someone advise on what I should do/whether I will lose the money paid for flights?

Thanks in advance :)
