My wife and I are planning a road trip starting August through the eastern part of Canada. Having never been to Canada before we were wondering if our planned itinerary could be improved.

Hi,
I am coming to Vienna for one or two weeks on a business trip - I can go by my car but on my own expense (which means also my BF with me :)) but I was told that the accommodation - close to the HBF - will not have a free parking lot.
When I am in the city I prefer to you public transport so I would love to just come and park my car somewhere and leave it there for two weeks ideally with no need to change the parking ticket each day or to have to repark it somewhere... Would that be possible? I thought about the airport but this option seems to be really expensive. :(
Is there any other?
Thank you and with kind regards
Zuzana

I'm planning a rail trip to France returning from Aix en Provence to London May 21st. But I've just checked & that's a national holiday. Does anybody have experience of travelling on that day? If so, can you advise me on whether I should try to avoid it? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I went there in August 2015. The first day it rained, then it was always dry. Check my trip report at https://www.molon.de/travelogues/Kyrgyzstan/2015/

My wife has been bringing our kids to Malaysia every year since they were 5 months old. But she has been relying on family & friends for the entertainment and activities (she's Malaysian and lives with me in Germany).
There is a nice children playground in the small park in front of the Petronas towers.
If you don't know anybody in KL, you might ask in an expat forum (check here for instance: https://www.bing.com/search?q=expats+malaysia&pc=MOZI&form=MOZTSB ) -
Countless options are available. Melaka is good for a weekend, as are the Cameron highlands. Or you can take a flight to Langkawi, KK, Kuching. It all depends onwhat you want to do. Browse my pages about Malaysia for some ideas: https://www.molon.de/galleries/Malaysia/

If you mean a car seat for the kid, my wife has never used one in Malaysia. She just used to sit next to the kids and hold them. Taxis do not require kids seats. Just bring along a foldable stroller for the child.

I wonder if there is some kind of mother&child group where local mothers can meet and have their children play together. This way your kid could play with Malaysian kids of different ethnicities.

The Laguna Redang is nice and suitable for kids. It opens up on a shallow, protected lagoon with a nice beach. But it's a bit expensive.

Hi All
we are planning to go to Israel in November, we have about 8 nights there and we flying to and from Tel Aviv,. As we arrive on a saturday evening so we will probably party in tel Aviv
we would like to also visit jerusalem, bethlehem, nazareth the dead sea and go to the desert and may be haifa. is this to much to do in 8 nights. im finding it a little hard in terms of how to allocate our time and where to stay. We was thinking a few days in tel aviv and a few days in jerusalem.
If possible we would like to go the Gaza strip if its safe to visit, im not sure if its worth even going there?
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

Hello everyone,
My wife and I are going to do a winter vacation in January in Europe. We are not looking for a beach vacation but rather a "sweater weather" touring vacation. We like to drive ourselves around. We are debating Andalucia vs Sicily vs Greece. We would like to be on the ground maybe 8 or 9 days. We generally like to plant ourselves in one spot and do day trips. Would be interested in your ideas.
Thanks much,
Joe and Jan Hill

Hello!
I'm trying to put together an itinerary for an upcoming trip to Europe around the end of May for about 3 weeks. I'd like to hear any thoughts and suggestions on the best way to travel around Europe within these specific countries (plane? train? etc..) Thanks in advance!
Madrid-3
Barcelona-3
Paris-4
Venice-2
Florence-3
Rome-4 Sorrento/Amalfi-3
**Also should be noted that I will be departing from LAX, so just wondering as well if anyone thinks flying in from Spain or Paris might be better. I don't mind shifting my itinerary around :)
Feel free to tell me what destinations you feel are not to be missed when traveling to these countries and if anything should be added or removed in terms of cities or simply in terms of days

I'd rather avoid bush taxi and take public bus. From Cotonou up to Porga there are frequent busses from Plade de Etoile rouge. Best company is La poste (brand new yellow-blue busses with AC and WiFi). We took ATT based on recommendation from Guidebook (LP, Bradt, Petit Fute) but AC was leaking water on passengers. Not just dripping, pouring. Lady next to us captured 3l of water, we were relatively lucky, only 10-20 ml.
But to Djougou via Porga took 10h. Natitingou is 11h. Porga can be 7-8h from Cotonou.
As for the break, I'd suggest Nati as it has vast accomodation options, even Airbnb which we took (EUR 15/2 per). In Djougou we stayed in best accomodation Motel du Lac for 15k. Cheaper options are in town.
