Hi everyone,

I'm planning to go Sardinia early July this summer. As a solo traveler, Im not totally sure where to stay. I will not rent a car so I will use public transportation during my trip.

I'm also interested in nightlife but not sure how is it and which places are lively in Sardinia? Thanks for the responses.

I've only been to Miami Beach in mid-late October, and certainly we didn't swim; it was pleasantly warm - but not hot.

I guess around New Year it's much chillier. Without the whole sand thing, Miami Beach is a two-trick pony, from my observation: strolling past some remnant Art Deco architecture, and spending a lot in tourist-oriented restaurants and bars along the beachside strip.

New Orleans would be my preference of the two, for a short trip.

We can provide a lot of additional texture when you decide your overall shape.

Hello,
Traveling in Ireland during the last week of March, mostly in Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal. I'm hoping to keep up with my exercise regimen while on vacation. At home, I mostly cycle and use my local YMCA, but I thought running would be the easiest way to get my 90 minutes of cardio in per day. However, I don't remember seeing any runners during previous trips to Ireland, and I know many of the roads are narrow...Any thoughts as to whether this is a realistic plan or alternative exercise I might try? Thanks!!!

TIGO Guatemala allows roaming in El Salvador and Honduras according to their website for 800Q/week. I haven't tried it but have been looking at it for an upcoming trip. TIGO El Salvador doesn't allow roaming on prepaid.

www.tigo.com.gt/roaming
What I meant to say was 800 MB/week for 30Q in El Salvador. For 3 days of roaming fees on my plan, I can get 30 days worth of calling and internet in Guatemala. I can then use the internet when and where I want without having to find wifi.

"may have left out in my itinerary"

Cut out 80% and leave time for walking, eating, drinking, relaxing in a nice town.

Planning 99% of a trip leaves no room for fun.

I am in DC for a few months internship, and before going back to Europe, my husband will come to the States for one month (on April). I will need your suggestions a) for weekends or day trips from DC (since I will still be working for two weeks while he will be here) and b) recommendations for 9-10 day trip-planning (where to go, for how long etc.) -We are thinking of visiting NY and New Orleans. Still, we are open to any other destination suggestions. :)

Cheers!

Hi there,

Next spring/summer I plan to cross Kazakhstan by bicycle ( Russia to Uzbekistan ).
It is a lot of ground to cover and the 30 days I should be given at the border won't be enough ( French passport ).
I've been looking at 2 or 3 month tourist or business visas so that I don't have to break my trip and do a border hop into Kyrgyzstan or Uzbekistan to get another 30 days upon re-entering Kazakhstan and resume my ride.
I would need an invitation to be able to apply for such visas.
Are there any Kazakh travel agencies out there that could help me get it ?
Thanks for your input.

Levelo.

My first trip to Cuba covered essentially the same ground as your proposal. Took me 5 weeks.

The shortest flight takes half a day door to door
Cuban resorts are God's Waiting Rooms
Any trip of less than a month is not worth getting out of bed for
Anybody relying on a single source of funds whilst travelling is an idiot
*Millions of Americans have visited Cuba already, but everyone arriving this week is under the illusion that he or she is the first one to discover Cuba and the last one to see it before it is no longer an independent country*

Can you show me where is it indicated it's forbidden to give any advice on a public post ?
I was there on my own and I know it is not complicated to manage a trip around.
If a trip is a race, why not...
