Dear all!
I have a week in Peru with no plans and am trying to decide how to spend it. My starting and ending point is Lima; I would prefer to keep the amount of domestic flights to a minimum (although one or two would be fine).
I have considered spending the week in and around Cusco (Machu Picchu, rainbow mountain etc.), although Arequipa and Puno would also interest me. What would you recommend? How many stops are realistic for a week long trip?

Cheers!

Coincidentally, I was to Puebla/Cholula/Cacxtla just two weeks ago. I think this photo may bring smile to your face :) - It's not mine (I am a terrible photographer) but by my dear friends (and she allowed me to share it :) - it's from one of our previous trips: Colonial and it's roof have always been my favorite.
Now, come to think of it, may be it was moving furniture in that room, lol! (just kidding.)

Hello all,
I've got a couple of simple questions on public transport options in Nusa Tenggara. My original plan when I bought my ticket to Jakarta a coupla months was to go east to do some snorkeling in Maluku and Papua. But I had a bike accident that left me needing some serious dental work. As an American I can't really afford to have it done at home unless I spread the cost out over several years and since the ticket is a sunk cost I decided to get dental work done on Bali.

I have five weeks and the first ten days or so will be spent on or near enough Bali doing dentistry and whatever else. After that I'll have from mid March untiI early April to hang around and would like to get to a relatively isolated beachfront area where I can relax and read for pretty cheap since I can't realistically get into the things this trip that I wanted to do originally due to the cost of the dentistry. Furthermore, I will likely return the following year to do my snorkeling trip and finish my dental work, so this trip I am aiming to have a low key and inexpensive place to relax, read, beachcomb and snorkel from shore. The latter is definitely negotiable but would be nice if on offer. Sekongkang in Western Sumbawa seems like it might fit the bill but I am finding little info on public transit between Bali and Sumbawa. I can see that there are ferries between the islands but it is not clear how much buses or bemos run between those ports. And I am also wondering if there will there be transport available to Sekongkang from the ports.

Especially since I've got time I'd prefer not to fly from Bali to Sumbawa, but if the cost and time involved is going to be significantly higher to not fly I'd consider it. I've got the new LP on order so I may get my answers there but I am antsy to figure out what options I have. Any help or info is appreciated, thanks.

Hi,

My name is Maciej Jaworski. I am going to the US from Poland next week and I want to buy a used car there to go for a road trip with my brothers to Yukon and there we plan to look for some gold.

I have a problem, and I will be very grateful if you could help me. I want to buy a used car in LA, and register it in California but I can’t wait 3 weeks in California for DMW to send me my registration title. I know that I can enter Canada with temporary registration, but can I ask DMW to send my registration documents to post office in Yukon?

Thanks a lot for your help. I look for a similar question on the internet and I found nothing.

I'm scheduled to arrive in Tokyo on Monday March 9. My itinerary is to spend 3 days visiting a friend in Fujisawa . March 13 to 16, staying in and near Takayama including an Onsen. March 16 to 21, staying in Kyoto with day trips to Osaka. March 21 to 25 in Tokyo. Then home. Tokyo closures for things that I'm interested in are scheduled to reopen before the 21st, subject to change depending upon outbreak status. I'm traveling from Toronto, Canada. Everything that I'm reading and seeing states that virus infection growth has been minimal. That makes me hopeful that the current Tokyo closures will end as scheduled. Would you still make the trip? What is truly the current state of things?

I can't help but feel that people have become incredibly soft these days. I've heard people complaining on a 5 hour ferry trip out of Padangbai. Hardly anyone takes the ferry anymore. It's fast boat these days. Plane travel has become very cheap. In Flores the private car with driver is the preferred option. And I can understand that because there are a lot of photo opportunities that you might otherwise miss.
For me, a ferry trip, gliding across an ocean disguising itself as a millpond, passing little islets or islands dripping with vegetation, is bliss.

This question was asked around 8 years ago, but I wanted to see if anyone had more recent information.

I have a US passport and recently got a multientry 36 month Ghana visa in the US. I will be traveling around West Africa next month and I realized that I do not have enough blank pages left in my passport for the trip. I am going to get a new US passport before I go, but my question is will I still be able to come to Ghana carrying my old passport (unexpired and with the visa) and new passport together? The US officials likely will punch a hole in one of the corners, but otherwise the visa will be intact.

Hello everyone!

From April 25th until end of May, I will be trekking in Madagascar, exploring the must sees like Andringitra, Isalo and Ifaty, but also lesser travelled Masoala peninsula. Having the company of a few fun people would be great. I'm a 39 y.o. female, speaking English and French.

Please let me know if you're interested to share this trip or parts of it.

BW,
Andrea
