Your day trip will be done by car or public transport?

Today I bought the flight tickets to Faroe Islands, and I need your help to plan this trip.
I plan a budget that wil be minimal, the but to get to know the Islands.
I plan to go by public transport, but if there are places I can not reach- to take a tour!
1. Can you give me advice-Where to go? What not to miss?
2. Which companies make recommended day trips + not expensive.
Thanks SHOOKY

Are you already committed to going to the Amazon? I have been twice and it is ok, but for the price not worth it in Colombia. I would rather go to somewhere Hato La Aurora - you will see a lot more wildlife.
Costa Rica is of course better for things like sloths.
Saying that if you are definitely going there, Puerto Narino is the best cheap option, Casa Gregorio is good but pricey.

My husband & I are considering visiting Honduras in mid Jan for about 2.5 weeks. We are young at heart 50 somethings that prefer to stay in slightly off the beaten path locations. We are not into diving but prefer hiking, waterfalls, animal sanctuaries and spending some time at the beach. Anyone have suggestions as a base location that would allow us to get around to different areas on public transportation? Not anything fancy but walking distance to some restaurants & bars. Would like to visit Roatan but not necessarily stay there. Thanks for any input.

From Nan, there is a direct daily bus to Luang Prabang. Check out the details at the Nan bus station or online at the Transport Company (Thailand) website.
Crossing that border by public transport is difficult otherwise, so definitely consider catching the international bus from Nan.
You can do a day trip by public transport,or else there are organized trips (the hostels organise them...Abraham Hostel in Jerusalem for example).
I've never driven to Hebron.I know there is a small part of Hebron controlled by Israel...don't know if it's possible to drive there by rented car though. The Israeli settlers that live there drive in and out I suppose.
Maybe someone who lives in Israel can give you more advice on driving around! I used public transport in the country...
