After a night to recover in Roskilde, sight saa viking ships and cathedral and make your only visit to a Danish town. Then tank the night ferry/cruise Copenhagen - Oslo. Saving time and the weird Odense visit ( not much of interest) and long drive to Hirtshals still jetlagged.

So I've been to Thailand twice but we are going back and bringing the kids this time ages 5,7 and 7.
We are planning on spending a week or so in Chaing Mai and we are looking to interact with some elephants, do some bamboo rafting, see some hill tribe villages and maybe even see some cool caves.
I'm looking for recommendations, we want to find a good deal too, seeing as 5 people doing anything gets expensive but is there some good tour companies that can offer all these activities in one day or a multi day package? With accomadations?
What similar tours have you done?
Is there other areas I might want to find this type of thing or in Chaing Mai and Pai where I should be looking?
Hello. I couldn't find a newer thread on CELTA Thailand so I thought of posting a new one. I'm planning to do CELTA in Thailand in October/November. Based on my research, International House seems the popular choice. Their fees come with a Plus Package which include accommodation. While this is great, I'm looking at possibilities of staying elsewhere but still closer to IH for daily commute. If possible, I'm trying to save money where ever I can. So if anyone here has done CELTA at IH Bangkok or Chiang Mai (I'm not considering IH Phuket) and has stayed off-site, please share your lodging arrangement. Any kind of advice is welcomed. Your help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

The OP seems to be suffering from a combination of envy and disdain, that is kind of sad. Is Chiang Mai different now than it was years ago? Of course it is.
I was walking down the alley by Kanjana and nodded to a sweet old lady who smiled back at me. I was struck by the thought of what this older lady must remember, how her city has changed over the past 60 to 70 years. Do you think she misses some aspects of Chiang Mai from the 1950's? Probably. Do you think she wishes everything would go back to the way it was, with endemic poverty and health care sadly lacking? I doubt it.
We can complain about how it used to be better in Chiang Mai or Pai or Koh Kood, but I bet the locals like most, albeit not all, of the changes. And a lot of the crowding issues come down to when and where you choose to travel. You want a deserted beach? Go to Khanom, not Ko Tao. You want a quieter city that feels like the Thailand you remember? Go to Phitsanulok or Phrae, not Chiang Mai.
When we travel, we get the results we pursue.

My return ticket would be 6 weeks after first arriving in thailand, so cant use that for my exemption. I'm planning to book transportation from Chang Rai to Laos.
The Thai visa website says land transportation out the country 'may' be acceptable for the visa exemption, has anyone had experience of this?
