Thai Interests: Ko Phi Phi; beaches; walking; exploring; about as chilled a place as I can get considering the circumstances; clean accommodation (listen I’m pretty chilled girl, it just seriously hate sleeping around tropical bugs but I do acknowledge this is a ridiculous preoccupation, such is life); and I suppose secretly I wouldn’t mind a holiday location where I could have easy access to a gin and tonic or something like that at 5pm but of course not necessary.

1. I'm thinking about heading…

Thanks a lot! You guys have been extremely helpful..
Im only worried about scams, as I need to pay for the tour online.
The package tour sounds really nice, not only do they take you around the island, they also are providing accomodation at Phi Phi Island Village and food for 10,000 baht for 3 adults (Family).
So I should go for it then?

Hi,
I am arriving in Bangkok next Sunday 13th April and will be staying in Thailand for one month. I am planning to head south and stay in Kho Pha Ngan for most of my trip. Any suggestions on where to stay both in Bangkok and Kho Pha Ngan...and also places to go, things to do and see...As I am travelling by myself, it would be great to get in touch with people who are going to be there around the same time...so please get in touch if you are!
Thank you

Hi,
Im wanting to go the 'New year Full Moon' party. I've looked for accomodation in 'Haad Rin' but everything in my 'Backpacker' budget seams to be booked up. Im nervous about just turning up as im a female travelling alone, any recommendations? Also how close is Hadd Yao as theres still some accomodation there, would it be easy enough to get to Hadd Rin from there?

Thanks

Ko Tao is a fair slog from Krabi. Phi Phi or even Krabi itself makes more sense given your time constraints.
Failing that, you can always come and doss down here. Could use some crumpet right now...

There is no international hospital on KPN. The hospital there is rather small. I have never had to go to it so I cannot tell you what kind of facilities they have. Samui is just 30 min away by boat and I believe there is half a dozen boats or more a day so you could get to the international hospital there is realitively short order if you had to.

Hey TTers,

I am planning to spend new years eve with a couple of friends on ko pha-ngang. Since none of the budget places take bookings, our only real option is to rock up a few days in advance to secure a place. The only problem with this is that my flight to bangkok is booked in to arrive on the 29th in the morning, and the earliest i'll probably get to the island is the (early) morning of the 30th (i plan to fly to surat thani as all the flights to koh samui are booked that day). is this far…

Whilst there have been some staggering price increases in Thailand over recent years it does still amaze me how cheaply you can still get accomodation for.

Hello,
Am in Thaliand for 8 days on a stopover. I am a Ko Yao Noi kinda traveller, so we will be heading there for a good few days for culture , but i was just wondering if the beauty of the phi phi island beaches are worth the tourist swarms? I live in the Netherlands and miss natural beauty. i could look at the ocean in Queensland for days and still never have enough. I sorta miss that. So is Phi Phi worth it then?
Thanks for your opinion!
