I am staying in Ko Lanta in December and have been trying to get in touch with Baan Phu Lae (Maipai Bay) with no success. Phone is out of service and no response to e-mail. Has anyone been successful booking with them? I can book through lantainfo.com, has anyone booked through this site?

Anywhere else you can recommend in Kan Tieng beach area (max about 1750 B).

Many thanks!

You can probably find the answers to all your questions on other threads, they've been asked here hundreds of times... and a lot of people don't even bother to answer anymore because it's so repetitive.

Going on a 9 night roadtrip from Phoenix to Denver; June 25 - July 4. Male and Female in our 30s

Looking to spend time outdoors, get back to nature. We enjoy hiking, paddleboarding, scenic drives and lookouts, camping, healthy casual eateries, breweries. Not looking for 4-5 star hotels and sit down restaurants.

Any suggestions on must-sees/stops? Or where we should dedicate extra nights? Or cool places to camp. We'd like to do a mix of camping and hotels.

Rough Plan:

North loop vs East, see…

  1. Because I might go somewhere where I stick out like a sore thumb and are thus more likely to get robbed. Or because I'm going somewhere that statistically has a higher crime rate. I live in a city voted one of the most dangerous in the USA, but I wouldn't need those thing here because I have the street smarts to keep myself out of trouble, but put me somewhere foreign and my street smarts might not apply. (I don't know the bad areas to avoid, I can't tell what the gang colors are, etc)

I have to be in pi pi for a wedding on a saturday into sunday morning. Is booking an international flight for midnight (00 on Monday) the following day ample time to return? I would be taking a boat to phucket then flying into bkk. In your experience, did your travel in Thailand run fairly timely?

hi.

i did this trip in feb last year. Ferries are pretty reliable at this time of year (well for thai standards!). On arrival @ Phuket ferry terminal i jumped in a cab and got to phuket airport within 30 mins or so. No dramas . Departed @ 9.00 and arrived Phuket @ 11.00 so you should be at the airport by 11.30 barring nay major issues...

Hi,

I've heard good things about this place, the views and spectacular, and the hike has many interesting things along the way. There is only one problem that I've found to be had with this breathtaking opportunity... How do I get there? I'll most likely be staying in the city of Chiang Rai, though may consider accomodation in Phu Chi Fa, i it is possible/inexpensive and with much research found that the only way to get to the forest park is via car (problematic if you don't have a car).

@ alligator1 :

Thanks alot for the replies. Is September a high season at Railay? If thats a low season then it should be okay i guess.

I have searched for Phra Nang on internet thats beautiful beach indeed. Is there any accomodation at Phra Nang or i have to stay at Railay and walk to Phra Nang? Are there any cheaper places to stay and eat at Railay? My budget for accomodation is maximum around US$ 30-35 per night.

I guess you talking about long tail boat from Ao Nang to go Phra Nang. How…
