OK I've just decided to extend my stay in Phi Phi (until 21/06) as I've been having a great time soaking up the amazing beaches, restaurants and bars.

I am a 28yo guy that loves meeting people from all walks of life. If you are in Ph Phi, hit me up for a drink or a snorkelling trip.

Also, would welcome advice on any other boat trips to do aside from Maya Beach.

Thanks!

Ever thought of signing up for The Amazing Race seen weekly on CBS tv ? Never understood these marathon travelers. If i were you if possible i would chop Phuket off the list. I hope you enjoy paying 400 baht every time you decide to move from one place to another. This is just one of numerous scams you will encounter. I hope that you enjoy having to play games from the moment you awake till sleep again. Do yourself a big favor and read the Phuket Wan website. Just maybe you will have second…

I'm in Khao Lak right now (11 Nov) watching what I hope is the end of the wet season dump from the skies! I'm off for a 5 day live aboard with Wicked Diving, an Eco-tourism dive company that seems to be priced about the same as others in the area (http://wickeddiving.com/) I'd recommend them on my experience with them so far, will update after the trip. Enjoy your time here, by the time you are sunning yourselves on the shores of the Andaman sea I will be freezing in St Petersburg!

I'm heading to Paradise Pearl on Phi Phi's Long Beach and wondering what I should do to get from the boat dropoff point to the accommodation. Anyone know if I can expect a long walk with my bag??

You won't be fighting for a spot on the sand. One of the great things about PP is the beaches are loooong. I've been there at peak when Loh Dalum is crowded central and eastern end - hardly anyone down the western end. Ditto on opposite Ton Sai beach - except down the western end here is gorgeous with genuinely deep clean water low tide.
Long Beach is popular but guess what - looooong - enough to be uncrowded in sections. And if you walk 5 minutes over the western headland to Viking's little bay…

Try the phone or fax on their website.
