Hi all,
Is it possible, or indeed desirable, to overland from Bangkok to Dawei in a day?
thanks

Hi, myself and my 2 brothers visited vietnam and cambodia over 2 weeks in 2017. In vietnam we covered hanoi, halong bay, danang, hoi an, ho chi minh and phu quoc island.
we are planning on a trip in july/august again but with our elderly parents. wanted ideas and suggestions on where they can visit for a cultural and artistic experience, our parents are interested in farming and are both artists as well. so we are looking at a mix of what we did last year but also some new suggestions. accessibility and transportation is key since it will be difficult for them to hike/ trek and do long periods of adventure.
ideas if any are welcome. thanks fellow travellers.

Hi there
Just wanting to get comments on our proposed plan. Does that seem doable and not crazy rushed in people's opinion? I would welcome any suggestions eg. accommodation, places to eat etc in any of those places. We are 2 adults and our 14 year old daughter. Thanks so much for your interest.
Fly in Hanoi 19 December
3 nights Hanoi
2/3 nights Halong Bay / Cat Ba (Any suggestions for reputable companies?)
Back to Hanoi and get train (possibly overnight) to Danang
3 nights Hoi Ann
Fly from Danang to Dalat
Dalat – 2 nights
Cat Tien National Park – 2 nights
(Wild Gibbon Trek) https://www.go-east.org/wild-gibbon-trek/
Ho Chi Minh – 2nights
Fly out approx 3/4 January
ie 17 nights in total
I am in Myanmar right now with my wife. We want to get a car with a driver or guide and then go to Mindat early in the morning from Bagan, Spend the night there and get back early in the morning too.
Does that sound possible ? I am a photographer and I am very interested in going to Mindat for that reason.
Would we have enough time?
Thanks

I am doing a 2 month internship in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh) in July and August. My flights are multiflex/open return - I am wondering whether to backpack/travel for two weeks or so afterwards providing I have the funds leftover. As I only get weekends off I won't be able to do THAT much exploring ie. really really want to go to the island Phu Quoc, but not sure if I will be able to in a weekend trip. Also might want to let of some steam after an intense two months. Does anyone have any ideas where would be best to go? I was thinking potentially Cambodia, instead of travelling to North Vietnam I might stay in the Southern area... Just wondering where will have the most culture/beautiful things to do. I would quite like to go some places a bit undiscovered / not completely built up and touristy yet... I also might potentially be going on my own (I am a 20 year old girl), unless a friend meets me out there or other people on my internship placement have the same idea (I don't know who they are yet/ what their plans are). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,
I've planned to go trekking for 2 or 3 days in north Laos either in the Phongsali or Luang Mantha regions. If you have already been in one of these regions could you please tell me which one is the most authentic and beautiful for jungle trekking. I'll be alone so I might look for other people to share a guide. Any tips for a reliablel agency or private guide ? Many thanks for your advice. Cheers
Nad

Hello all,
A couple questions.....
What is the best way to see the sights in Hue if I have only the afternoon? Also would appreciate insight on River Cruise if anyone has experience.
Also looking to book private driver/tour from
Hue to Hoi An with stops along the way. Any reputable companies recommended?
Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Hi there,
I am due to travel to southeast Asia in September. I am wondering what is the situation with mobile phones out there. Is there a network provider that works better than another or would I need to get a local sim from each country? I will be visiting Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Thanks in advance for any help.
