Yes, skip camel trek, in Marrakech it is also a bit ridiculous to do it, camels belong to the desert, not to some Majorelle gardens LOL

We travel because we need to. Because the distance and difference are the secret tonics to the creativity. When we get home, home is still the same, but something in our minds has changed, and that changes everything.

An article on 'The View from Fez' always a great source information for news and cultural events on Morocco caught my eye today, a proposition to close the desert camps scattered in the sand dunes south of Merzouga.

Could be the makings of a 'Sand Storm'!

I've gathered the photos from my three days trek near Ganden Monastery in Tibet. We walked with yaks and visited a few nomad's tents, and spotted some wildlife.

A couple of videos about yak's behavior. By me, therefore amateur videos but super interesting. Enjoy!

Hi guys, me and my girlfriend are planing a trip to Myanmar and wanted to stay for around 23-24 days. We searched some information on websites and also read some good tips here in the forum.
So, now we have two itineraries that we think would cover what we want to see and stays within the limit we can go as tourists on the country.
One of the ideas is to go from Yangon to Inle, and that way excluding the trek Kalaw-Inle. We wanted to visit Inle first, because our outbound flight would depart from…

Hi, all,

Looking for some input/advice on an itinerary for 9 or 10 days in late September/early October. We normally are slow travelers, but there is just so much we want to see that we're planning on renting a car and doing a road trip for most of it, while still trying to minimize driving days. The things we definitely want to see are: Marrakech, Fes, Erg Chebbi, and the High Atlas, specifically either Todra or Dades gorge.

Here's what we're thinking:

Day 1 & 2: Explore Marrakech
Day 3…

....... to mention, the road trips from Marrakech or Agadir to the Desert areas are via Ouarzazate.

The distance between Marrakech and Ouarzazate is approximately 200km., while the distance from Agadir is approximately 375km., about 175km. longer, might be 2.5 hours more, for a return journey a difference of 5 hours extra hardly 2 days.

Given the Agadir road trip is through the Sous Valley, mostly flat ground and a faster trip, while from Marrakech the trip is for a good part over slow…

I remember the touts in Havana were very aggressive, both men and women. But in Morocco it was only the men.

As an example, here's my route through Morocco for one month by bus and collective taxis, staying at cheap hotels: Casablanca; Rabat; Meknes; Fes; Rissani; Merzouga; Tinehir; Ourzazate; Marrakech; Imlil; Toubkal; Marrakech; Essaouira; El Jadida; Casablanca.

Your route depends upon what you like best. I'd say you have to go to see the dunes at some point. Merzouga is a great place for…

Hi there. I have a three night and four day trip to erg chegaga, via lots of interesting places. I have travelled extensively in Morocco and been to Merzouga and erg chebbi, but subsequently learned from many people that really Erg Chegaga is well worth the trek, and quite the remote in comparison. MY 13 year old son Stan and I have now paid a deposit for a tour with Mhamid voyages, but are looking to bring the price down by sharing, but also looking to enjoy the experience with two others. We…

I agree with Michel...your timeframe is too tight to do all those things (Marrakech,Chefchaouen,Fes and a decent desert trip).

You would be spending most of the trip in transit.

I'd do either Marrakech and desert trip,OR focus on Fes and Chefchaouen (flying in and out of Casablanca).
