Hi everyone, I need some help with my upcoming trip. My husband and I, both 35 y/o, are coming to Morocco on september for 10 days, to stay in a desert camp. We love to explore but don't like being rushed, so we thought -as we are coming from Madrid- to get to Marrakech, rent a car and have a road trip to Merzouga, to stay a night in a desert camp (the must-do of our trip).
Our road trip schedule is: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Dades Gorge - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi - Tinghir - Bien El…

Hi All

Lots of great advice out there for itineraries but hoping you can also help point us in the right direction for our adventure.

We are travelling to Marrakesh for 21 days, starting 2 Jan. It’s my 50th birthday 4 jan so thinking we would have overnight in Marrakesh then get bus to Essaouira for 3 days or so for slightly more chilled introduction to Morocco. We will be on a budget (cheap non shared bathroom, public transport where we can) but are fairly well travelled having done a couple…

Hi All,
Enjoying the Patagonia posts... Chile/Argentina/Patagonia is definitely a place I want to experience for nature, hiking, and non-touristy spots. But I am somewhat limited on climbing, but can hike up to 8 or so miles, cannot do big exposure or rocky/unstable trails. Does this eliminate the worthwhile spots in Patagonia?
Also looking for a tour group that can accommodate my physical limits but still give me a thrilling nature experience...also hoping for adults only!! And (admittedly)…

Hi there!
I will have 2 weeks off after finishing my job in Ho Chi Minh city so I decide to spend this free time for traveling around Vietnam before coming back my country. I wanna travel from the North to the South of Vietnam and intend to take some snorkeling tours and trekking tours but I have no idea about it and I've failed to search on google. Any advices for me? Thanks a lot.

Its been a wild ride for me in booking a solo trip from Marrakech for trekking and driving into remote towns in the High Atlas. My goal is to stay off the tourist route and decided to hire a guide from "Safe Tours" This company has a website and good online reviews but nothing on Trip Advisor or on this forum (However I think I found them originally on a post but can't find it anymore). They proposed an expensive trip (SOLO) for 7 days for around 2K exploring remote towns and daily treks…

I posted a topic a few months ago in preparation for my Three Passes/Everest trek and thought I'd follow up and mention a few experiences and recommendations that come to mind for anyone interested. Overall, it was an unbelievable experience that was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. I really don't have many other experiences so far to compare it to.

Kathmandu
I'm pretty neutral with the city, but that was kind of what I was expecting. I think the Lonely Planet description of…

Hello Guys,

I am about to confirm my booking with Magical Gorilla Adventures: https://africangorilla.com/. They have requested me to pay 50% upfront to secure my gorilla permits and make deposits on accommodation.

Our trip is above $5000 and we are afraid. Is it a normal trend to send a 50% deposit upfront? And how do we know our gorilla permits have been booked? I need quick feedback please as the operator claims permits for June are almost getting done.

My son and I plan on hiking in Jordan in April 2018. Is this a trip we could do DIY (we're not experienced hikers, esp in foreign countries, but we are in good shape). Any recommendations are appreciated as it looks like a 10 day "adventure tour" would cost a bit less than $7,000 USD for the two of us. Lots of stuff included. Just wondering if its possible to do it more economically with the same level of experience. THANKS!
