I found travelling in Mali easy, with more buses than I was expecting, people were very nice, unobtrusive but willing to help. I felt very safe everywhere, there's a strong feeling that Mali's security problems are being exagerated by highly paid consultants who earn more from the problems than solutions.
None of the buses had ac that worked, ATMs are plentiful and all worked .
Mali visa in London is £190, so I went to Brussels and got one same day for 90 euros..

Please look at a map or use google maps to find distances. ExMple Torshavn to Sørvågur ( where the ferry to Mykines starts) : driving time 45 min, Torshavn to ( second ‘largest” town - a trip that is pretty Winding) 1hr 15 min.
Hikes etc please contact official tourist offices. There are some VERY famous hikes like from the ruined old Cathedral ( kirkjøbour) to Torshavn and the one on Mykines from the village to thr bird cliff ( puffins) in the West sand back.
Many mavy hikes are from one small…
Hi there,
Yes, if you plan it accordingly, it's `possible to visit these places in the days you mention, although I would visit Abu Dhabi in 1 day and Liwa in 3 days, since Liwa is pretty far!!
Unfortunately, there is no public transport to go to Liwa. Well, actually there is but a friend of me caught it and took him more than 8 hours (1-way) and the bus just dropped him in the middle of nowhere... Liwa is a huge desert and you definitely need a car to explore it. Fortunately, the government…
Hi, we (mother and daughter 14yrs) are travelling to Kyrgyzstan this summer. We are near Issy-Kul for 2 organised weeks, doing a horse-trekking-tour near Barskaun for 6 days and staying at the south shore of Issy-Kul. After that we have one week for ourselves. To get a contrast to the "Switzerland"-like mountains, we would like to fly to the Osh-region. We would really like to see Kojokelen for the red sanstone cliffs, Sary Mogul Pass for the moonlike landscape and Tulpar Kul Lakes / Behskol…
Hi..I would like an answer for April 2020 as well. Last Oct I did the EBC - took a jeep to Salleri and another shared jeep to Ringmo. Reached Namche on Day #5 - did not enjoy the trek though.
Please do let me know the route from Dhap Bazaar. Is this easy to trek like EBC? wide path with no sharp falls..no climbing on all fours and all that?
Do let me know if you have heard about roads being open till Kharikhola. Chopper from Phaplu to Lukla also saves little bit of money..but you do have…
Why is the OP getting angry? This is a free forum of independent travellers.
If you want to book tours you book them direct (google them) or use travel agents local or otherwise.
Bangkok has travel agents all over that can book all kinds of tours.
Anyone who has been to Bangkok should know this. All major hotel areas have them with tours ranging in price from 600 baht up.
Some people expect to get spoon fed for free....
The seawater will still be a bit cold in May. There are stunning, almost deserted, beaches along resp West from the Bonifacio - Propriano road. For organized beaches, go to Santa Giulia south of Portovecchio. Or take the ferry to Sta Teresa and drive up to Porto Torres - La Pelosa (or to Porto Puddu/Palau if you don't want to go so far).
If you like menhirs and dolmen, go to Filitosa, close to Propriano. Many isolated "Pisan style" churches in the landscape (for example a bit south of Sarte).

Destination: Como lake, Italy - San Primo mount
Context: San Primo mountain is just a few kilometers from Como and Bellagio. This was the view when I reached the top after roughly three hours trekking. The sky was shrouded of clouds which helped me to get the result that I wanted adding some atmosphere to the shot.
I really loved the walk and I will be going for sure again next week to test my drone.
Thank you. The thing I do not fully get is - all the boats finally go from Labuhan Lombok, but they pick all people from Senggigi/Gili for a day trip across Lombok. Can I start only from Labuhan Lombok? Will I get it cheaper if I skip the transfer from Senggigi?
Too bad about the stop in Komodo, I was hoping to do Komodo properly, e.g. full day for Padar island trekking, not just a few hours stop.
As many have said, book in advance with a tour operator. it will save you time. And for the experience, it is really worth it. You can trek for hours before finding the chimps but the sight of them is breathtaking.
