Cheers.
Yes, if I can find gas in Delhi, I'll grab a few of them.
I think Kerosene is the most available fuel up in those parts.....have been advised to pour through coffee filter papers before use though :)

Hi everyone,
I've read hours and hours worth of blogs and forums on the Mohare Danda trek after I could see people recommending this instead of Poon Hill. My first idea was to do Poon Hill 3/4 day trek because I'm relatively limited for time but the Mohare Danda looks much more special.
I'm a solo female traveller and that's my worry - I could only do this route if I had someone to do it with. I'll be coming 2nd week of April...is there by any chance a slightly shorter 3/4 day MD route still…
Then, on brexit, the EU and the UK have a hole in the border and it's wait and see who is willing to accept the consequences longest. My guess, if half Africa transits Europe (Marrakesh treaty) and enters the UK through Northern Ireland they will soon start closing the hole.
I'm not totally clear of the difference between an open border between Ireland and Northern Ireland, and the "four freedoms" (goods, services, people, and capital). In other words, is the concern about EU citizens…
Thanks for all of your support!
There is a minimal chance my experience helps somebody out there. Just get back to me if you have any questions.
Ghana was a great experience! Don't expect any big attractions or mind-blowing sights. Experience it.
(Yes. That's far from a travel blog and surely badly written.)
Day 01: 17:00 Accra [Accra]

Day 02: Accra [Accra]

The fires are unpredictable. But in Serra da Estrela, specially at the top, the majority of places don't have huge trees.
Try to see the weather here (10 days forecast):

I'm a fan of using Kona as your base, not Hilo. I've been a few times and I'm not sure what it is, Hilo just never really did it for me. Plus, Kona is in the coffee belt which is great for touring the farms and also just having great coffee everywhere you go.
That said, Pahoa is a super cool, laid back town not all that far from Hilo if you want to be on that side of the island. There's a nice mix of affordable restaurants and cute cafes and a great farmers market and it's a nice base for…
Part 3
We had been told the bus (Transportes Florida) to El Cedral would come at 7 am but apparently it came at 9 am. The 7 am bus went to La Suiza and it was a chiva (4,000 COP and 2 hours). That meant we would have to walk for an hour to get to El Cedral, the start of the trail to Laguna del Otun. It was a nice walk and we saw a monkey. At El Cedral we were at 1,850 m elevation and we would hike 6 km to La Pastora at 2,500 m, then 7 km to El Jordan at 3,260 m and then 10 km to Laguna del Otun…
Hello All -
I'm considering a trek to k2 base camp later this summer and was hoping you could answer a few questions. Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated.
1) About how many people trek to K2 Base Camp every year?
2) What level of fitness is required to make this trek? I am in my late 20s, decent physical shape, but no trekking experience whatsoever. Will I be able to do this or will it be too challenging?
3) How safe is it for an American to travel to these areas of Pakistan…
I tried to at least check out the centro for future reference. We were driving from Parras De La Fuente to Durango and since Torreon's centro appeared to be not far off the highway, I thought I might at least do a drive by. But traffic was bad so I opted to head to the Libre and bypass the center of town. What I did see was pretty fugly. But that's true of many bigger cities in Mexico that have attractive centers. I was surprised at how much water was flowing in the Nazas river for being in the…
