Given that I once had a bucket of water poured on my head by the teller in a Khon Kaen branch of the Thai Farmer Bank I don't think there is any real way of avoiding getting your money wet.
I was putting my cash in my wallet when I looked up to see the delightfull aspect of the Teller's legs, she was standing on her…
Hey my friend and I are looking to travel to Southeast Asia for the month of May for our graduation trip. We are in our early twenties and are looking for party places. We have found cheap round flights landing and leaving from Bangkok. We want to for sure go to Thailand (want to stay mainly South), Cambodia, maybe Vietnam and hoping to be able to take a few days and go to Bali. We were wondering if anyone has a specific route they could recommend so we could see as much as we can in the short…
Your question is very vague as we have no idea how long you are in Thailand or what area you are staying in.
Koh Phangan, but if you don't want a party, try not to go during Full Moon and might want to avoid Haad Rin. Choloklum Bay is my favourite. Ban Tai was dirty. Haad Rin is beautiful but very busy. In all honesty, I went at Full Moon and if you stay on the opposite side of the island, it is lovely. Full Moon is an experience you shouldn't miss, and you don't need to stay in the party…
I know what I want to do in thailand but I could use some help figuring where to go! I want to learn how to scuba dive, I want to go deep sea fishing and I want to go White Water Rafting!!! I would like to stay at least two nights in a "Party Area" and the rest in a relaxing place! My tentative plan is to fly into bangkok and take the first train to souther thailand where i will make my way to Koh Tao (Scuba Diving). Then I will make my way to Phuket (Fishing and partying). I will then fly…
Ok so I'm going to Thailand for only a week before going to Cambodia this summer. I don't really like Bangkok so want to get straight from the airport to a nice beach and back again, maximising the time spent in a beachside hut with cheap food and drink.
Are there any suggestions for good beaches? When I was last in Thailand I went to Ko Samet, which was quite nice. I'd like to try somewhere further south, but is it worth it given I only have 7 days? I really know very little about which Thai…
Imjust wondering if there are new year countdown party at chiang mai esp new year 2008, or any big event on this period. Im used to celebrate the new year in a grand way, a party, a concert, like the beach party at Singapore Sentosa .Any body has informations or may be experience from the previous year?
i was also going to kohphangan for new years, if u guys find any other plans or parties please let me know as i went to the fullmoon party before. im going alone this time, but of course its an amazing party that shouldnt be missed. email me if u have any ideas doobar2000@hotmail.com
what is going on at the treehouse now it has moved location to the other bay, do they have yoga/parties etc just curious as to what goes on there as its quite isolated.
When I was there about three weeks ago, there were no parties/yoga/etc. It was quiet and peaceful. Other guests seemed friendly, but it wasn't a party crowd.
If you want less touristy, get away from the ocean. North of Chiang Mai...Chiang Dao, where we live is not very touristy at all, compared to the farang zoos like Pai. You can find quality foreign and Thai restaurants up here, lots of places to check out in the area and it's not too expensive up here.
Cafe Cafe is putting on a New Years Party and I think Chiang Dao Nest is, too. We close for New Years for a private staff party.
Touristy or not, if you want to go to a New Years Party in Thailand…
I'd like to congratulate heterosexuals up and down this thread for being so helpful on this topic and please don't tell me that heterosexuals go to Thailand, see ladyboys and think that's the 'gay scene'. That would be like homosexuals going to Thailand and seeing Patpong 2 or Soi Cowboy and judging only one or the other to be the only example of a straight scene in Thailand...which would make every full moon party, every budget bungalow and every flip flop wearing beach goer part of a big bi…
