You haven´t actually got 15 days. You have 13 days because you have to deduct your arrival and departures days and you won´t get much done on those two days.

With that in mind, I reccomend that, like treksierranevada, you drop Barcelona. I also suggest that you forget all about trying to squeeze in Morocco because that would involve a disproportionate amount of additional travel time and effort. Just spend your 13 days in Madrid and Andalucia.

If you´re going to travel all the way from…

mike2bb,

Is this 2 or 3 weeks or 16 days?
How little money is little? (Marbella is certainly not where I would suggest, if money matters - and it is not representative of Andalucia and Spain).
Understand the transport/travelling and how it will impact on your time and budget - it's a big country.
As with everywhere else in the world there are varieties of night life almost everywhere, but is this night life you want the same thing that you have back home?.
September weather will likely be good to…

As I see it, you've got 10 days of travel, that gives you 10 destinations. Conceivably you could do close places (like the ones in Andalucia) on normal tickets so you won't use up your valuable travel days, but time is still limited. You can make better use if you take overnight trains, but then you'll have to be careful that that doesn't count as 2 days worth of travel (I don't know if it does or not, you'll have to do more research on that).

My take on your itinerary would be;

Hi there,

We're heading off to Andalucia for 9 nights in November and - having never been to the south of Spain before - it is difficult to fit in a varied holiday. We're flying into Seville and out of Malaga so have already left Ronda, Cadiz and Jerez for another trip. Our plans are;

Fri: arrive Seville
Sat: Seville
Sun: Seville
Mon: Seville - Cordoba (car)
Tues: Cordoba - Cazorla (car)
Weds: Cazorla NP (car)
Thurs: Cazorla - Granada (car)
Fri: Granada (car)
Sat: Granada & the Alpujarras (car)
Sun…

convince me a little more tony
I haven't tried to convince you one way or the other about going to Morocco so far, and I'm not going to start now. I've given you enough to base a decision on and, if you re-read post #6, you'll see that's as far as I'll go. . Now it's up to you. All that I'll say is that there's plenty to keep you occupied in Andalucia without going to all the expense and effort of including another country.

I will never understand why people travel all the way to one country and…

Well, just about everybody in Barcelona can speak Spanish. The government likes to ram Catalan down everyone's throats and pretend that Spanish (or Castilian if you prefer to call it that) doesn't exist, but most of the people know that the reality is that Spanish is an internationally known language and Catalan is not and they absolutely have to learn Spanish for the sake of doing business outside of Catalunya. There are Spanish language learning classes of various kinds in Catalunya…

You can take the night train Estrella 370 that leaves Madrid at 22:00 arrives to Barca at 07:30 and costs only 40-50€ and it saves you a hotel bill too!

My opinion:

It's great that Spain is spending a fortune on new high-speed rail lines and suburban network, but it's a pity that anything else than AVE and Cercanias is a mess!

In Germany for example you can decide if you want to pay more for a high-speed ICE train or less for a slower IC. In Spain you have no choice on some routes like…

Hi,

I usually never take trips in July, but work means that it might be the best opportunity for me to escape for a few days before Christmas. So I'm looking for somewhere in Europe that might not be overrun with visitors for 4-5 days.

I'm travelling from Dublin, and was thinking of Santander/Bilbao area - direct, reasonably inexpensive flights, not too hot, dying to visit the Guggenheim - but was just wondering how busy that area would be in mid July?

I love Spain, and have travelled a bit…

I just arrived in Bangkok and am planning to go to Krabi Province. A had a chance encounter with a woman here and her two sons who returned last night from Krabi, en route to Andalucia (their home). Her arm is badly damaged from what appears to be a box jellyfish attack. She describes the creature as the size of a clear plastic bag with 1 meter tentacles. The injury encompasses her left arm above and below the elbow. She is treating it herself. She says it is painful like a burn.
Certainly this…

Hello, I am visiting Spain next month and am looking for inexpensive (30 euros per night) accomodations in those three cities. I am 28, female, travelling on my own. What can you recommend?
I would also like to know what is the most practical way of getting between cities in Andalucia using public transportation. I only have one week, so I am planning to concentrate on visiting Seville (3 days), early morning of day 4 go to Cordoba and spend the night there, early morning of day 5 go to Granada…
