Hello!
My husband and I are going to bike on and near the Loire a Velo in France. We have a great, detailed (1:75000) bike map for when we're following the Loire a Velo but we need a good map (not necessarily biking, could be a road map) for when we leave the the Loire a Velo. Where can we look for a paper map of the Loire Valley in France that's approximately 1:75000 - is there such a thing?
Thanks in advance!
I'm looking to add a reference section to my own blog linking other peoples cycle reports from Cambodia & Vietnam.
To that end does anyone have recommended blogs or journals that would be relevant?
Preferably they should be less than 2 years old & include an idea of costs (I hate reports that don't give me an idea of how much things, particularly hotels, cost).
Hi i will be cycling mainly in Myanmar/Burma and northern Laos this July and August. Just wondering should i bring rain gear, i imagine it would be too hot for my Gortex gear. Is it so hot i wont need anything? Also thinking of riding with 26x1.5 tires, should these be okay. Also flying home from Bangkok, anybody know where i can pick up a bike box from near the Khao San road area.
Thanks,
Paschal

Hi,
Does anyone have any recent experience with taking their bicycle on a long haul British Airways flight (Heathrow/Bangkok), in particular with the bike just in a clear heavy duty bag.
Thanks.
Hey folks,
Anyone have recommendations of sunglasses (girls ones in particular) for someone with a small head. Polarised lenses is a must.
Any info much appreciated,
Thanks, happy biking all :)
Like many people, I was curious to see northern Sri Lanka after it had been closed many years due to the civil war. Now it is open and local people welcome visitors. No permit is needed to go there nor is there passport registration anymore, though police or soldiers might ask you to stop for a chat.
The two highways to Jaffna in the north are paved and in good shape. Mannar Island is a good ride too. Village roads are paved as well, though some are bumpy.
I visited during April 2015 and had…
given the political uncertainties in Argentina.....which country should I choose for a month of cycling??? Costs, attitudes to cyclists...road conditions etc...all considered.
Thanks! Muchisimas gracias,
