thanks.........ive read the ones on bike china. Im trying to access his website from china and Im thinking that maybe because he seems to be a well known tibetan cyclist, and cycling in tibet is illegal, his wbesite has been blocked by the gov......just a thought...

It's definatly blocked, I've been trying for over a week.

I have been told that you no longer need a permit to cycle the Yunnan-Tibet highway. I am also told permits can be picked up in Zhongdian and Lijiang for 50RMB which are "intended" for people travelling by jeep.
