In January 2008 I am planning to cycle from Chennai to Goa following the South Indian coastline. The distance is about 2,200 kilometres and I expect the journey will take about 8 weeks taking account of rest days and sightseeing. January to March is the best time for avoiding high temperatures and rainfall. The cost of the return flight (BA) is in the region of £520 and living expenses including accommodation should be no more than £10 per day. The exact route will depend on road conditions and hotel/ restaurant availability but in the main I plan to use minor roads. A good description of what to expect can be found at www.mrpumpy.net</a>. I am looking for two or three reliable people to join me. Interested?
