Well, I plan to hit the road and keep going through each continent. I am passionate about the Ubuntu ride Africa so definitely plan to do that stretch (I am sure you would be welcome to join us if you are interested?).

I need to sort out finances, planning and fitness and am starting to volunteer at my local bike shop to update my bike maintenance skills.

I have cycled Seattle to Baja, Land's End to John O'Groats and through France Spain and Portugal so have a bit of cycle touring experience.

If you do fancy catching up for the whole trip, part of the trip do let me know! I am hoping to tag on Central and South America or Australia before catching up with the Ubuntu chaps and then carrying on from Africa after that.

What do you think?

Georgie

I am interested to join the Ubuntu project as well. I have sent an e-mail and have since waited for a response. I dont cycle as far off as you mentioned "Seattle to Baja, Land's End to John O'Groats and through France Spain and Portugal". just the island of Borneo. I follow your lead. Your plan sounds better than mine. I dont have any particular heading. I cant seem to be able to contact you via PM. Its getting old to get update through this.
