Looks like Qatar has also increased their baggage allowance .

They seem to have some good connections.

I had the opportunity to fly Qatar last year. With all their hype about being the best in the world, I was sorely disappointed. I've flown many airlines and have a difficult time believing this was the best the sheiks could come up with.

I'm in the opinion to just get me to my destination.
All I really care about is getting me and my bike there in one piece.

Have flown all the big airlines and wonder where the price difference really comes from. Why should I pay an extra $400-$500 for a 12 hour experience, that just gives me more TV programs, where all I want to do is sleep.

I just flew with Qatar, Ljubljana-Hanoi and Chengdu-Ljubljana. On the return trip from Chengdu I had my bike unboxed, wrapped a bit with scotch tape and a piece of cardboard covering the chainline. No charge, they were very helpful and cooperative. I did sign a statement that I take the responsibilities for possible damage. The bike got back to Europe unscratched. And very good TV programs too.
