Hi all,
Just looking for some advice on whether to head north or south to Kashgar from Qorla/Ruoqiang (Going west.) Basically whichever way we have more chance of tailwinds and less of headwinds, since the distances seem pretty comparable. Hoping to hear from anyones who has done either of these routes (in either direction.)
Thanks!

I would do the south as it has more authentic Uighur culture. I had a taste of the southern route from Kashgar
to 100km past Karghilik and much less Hans than in the north, probably because the china rail doesn't operate
in the south yet.
My cousin just did the north route your mentioned heading east a month ago
