(I know this is really late notice (a previous arrangement has just fallen through..) but -
Hi - we (my wife and I) are looking for a house-sitter (and dog-minder) for 3 weeks in July ( specifically July 1 to 26) and we thought there may be an international cyclist or traveller or couple (or any Australians!) who would consider helping us out. We live in a very pretty old town in North-East Victoria, close to the snow-fields and large towns like Albury-Wodonga, and with lots of touristy things for people to do - skiing, cycling, walking, wine-tasting etc. We are 2 1/2 hours from Melbourne by train. You would have free run of our house and use of a car, bikes etc. Dog-lovers only need apply - our dogs are Airedale Terriers, well-trained but lively! If you are interested, please PM me, or use the email address in my profile.
Mick

Beechworth (our town) is a great cycling location - on a 100km long rail trail (Murray to Mountains rail Trail) with lots of mountain bike tracks in the forests around the town.

Hello Mick, nice to be in contact with you. Right now I have a break and visit mz family in Norway, august 10th I start again from Hamborg via Holland, Belgium and into France. I guess to be home in DownUnder by end of sept.

In regard of your search for a house - dog -sitter.....if I had time I would do it. But that#s impossible. Why not become a member of www.housesitters. (or housecarers.....can#t remember exactly the website) com.
I had been a member and will renew it again, I was very satisfied with that website and the membership for one year is not expensive, I mean you have to pay roughly 40 or 50 Australian bucks.

Hope you are well and enjoy life.

Until another time, take care and good luck.

Ulla

Have you considered putting an add in the paper in Sydney or Melbourne for that matter.
