Can anyone familiar with Dehli airport help? my flt arrives T3 11.40 and I want to make a 14.20 Srinigar flt from T1D.
I will have a bike box and the domestic checkin closes 45min prior to departure.
Will I make this connection, does the shuttle take bike boxes, can I get a taxi?
Any advice appreciated, first trip to India.

If you ask on the india branch, they should have a good idea about your chances of making that connection. Also have you tried emailing the airport and airlines?

When you get off the incoming flight ensure you have the form filled out correctly. Be very careful to move fast so as to get to the immigration queue early. Be careful not to get into the wrong line. Be prepared for this. Stay focused. You could easily gain or lose 40 minutes at this point.
I believe you will be able to take the carton on the shuttle.
There are ATMs in the terminals but you don't need cash yet. Don't waste any time. Go to the loo on the plane, not when you land.
When you get to the domestic terminal there will be a queue just to get into the terminal. They have a big security operation. You will need your ticket and passport even to get inside the terminal. Have spare tape with you as sometimes they will make you open the carton for the dumbest of reasons. eg to prove you deflated the tyres.
You are cutting it fine but will be ok if you don't lose time at any stage, particularly at the arrival lines.

Hello,
I did the same a couple of years ago.
It was not really a problem but you can't afford to lose much time at immigration.
It will also take half an our before the bike box arrives in the arrival hall (not on the belt)
After collecting your bike box, you can go to the shuttle (every 15 minutes) and it takes about
15 minutes before you arrive at the domestic airport. Bikebox on shuttle is no problem
Flights to Srinagar have a strict security policy.
If you miss the flight, they will reschedule you on the next flight as there will be more flights per day.

Theother thing is to get a seat as close to the front of the plane as you can.

I wonder if it would help if you had your domestic ticket handy so you could try to push in on some queues once you have your luggage. I mean show it to the people guiding the queues and say you have a domestic flight to catch at X time. They might let you go to the front? Worth a try perhaps. Show them the ticket. Point to the departure time.

Whenever I've arrived in Delhi the queues at immigration have been terrible. I wouldn't bank on making that flight, but maybe you'll be lucky.

Arrived Dehli and bikebox took about 20 mins to come out, no queues at immigration, easily got out. Need to get coupon for bus outside, just show ticket. Bus took about 20mins and plenty of time to checkin, Spicejet charged about $15 for bike, flight was empty.
Ride from Partachik to Padum is especially tough, really bad road. Did Khardung La twice on way to and from Nubra valley(beautiful) very hard if your not fully acclimatised.
Thanks again for help.
