Can anyone advice me as to any special permit for entering Cuba with a bycicle (Tandem).
We are planning a bike trip around the island.
Many thanks in advance ...

Kind regards
Jorge.

I'd think that tandem bicycles (which by definition are more communal) would be more welcome than single bicycles (which are shamelessly individualistic). Other than the custom requiring you to pick up any bystanders along the side of the road going your way, there are no special requirement.

I took my solo bike to Cuba a couple of years ago and had no problems with importing it. It was boxed and they didn't look inside but they do XRay everything.

I suggest you check out the Customs restrictions on the web as they do ban a lot of things. Strangely, household equipment isn't allowed, but I did manage to take in a small travelling electric kettle. It was worth taking as bottled water is $1 a bottle or more.

Take any spares you may need as there is little of quality available.
