We are planning a trip late September riding for approximately 15 days from Nice to Barcelona. Our planned routing takes us from Nice up to the Corniche dropping back down to St.Maxim. Riding on to Marseille, heading North to Aix, over to Arles, down to Montpellier and then along the coast to Barcelona. I would appreciate any feedback regarding the route. I am wondering what the cycling is like west of Montpellier, along the coast and along the Costa Brava. I am trying to find a way to rent bikes. But it is complicated since we are starting in Nice and ending in Barcelona. It might be possible to purchase bikes in Nice, possibly used and then donating them in Barcelona. Does anyone have any suggestions?
