I'm hoping to tour in Colombia for about 3 weeks in Jan/Feb. I've read past threads about Colombia as well as some narratives on crazyguyonabike, but I haven't been able to narrow down where I should go. For those who have toured in Colombia, are there any particular regions of the country which you liked more than others?

Also, has anyone succeeded in finding good, detailed maps while in Colombia? For planning purposes, I have the ITM 1:1,400,000 scale map, but I'd prefer to use maps with more detail once I get there.

Any other suggestions or advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Hey,

Just found your post. I'll be arriving in Bogota on the 6th of January and plan to cycle north to Santa Marta. Then across to Cartegena, stopping of in mountain locations for some hiking and climbing. I'm really flexible, chilled and looking for a buddy to cycle with. Would you be interested?

What is your tip plan?

I am 25 year old Scotsman who is an experienced cyclist, general out doors person but also likes the occasional party.

Let me know your thoughts.

Cheers,
