Calcutta to Hanoi

We'll be starting in mid Feb and cycling Kolkata to Hanoi, and finishing in May/June.
Or the other way round

We'll be going through Bangladesh and Burma.
Its gonna get hot but you gotta go when you can.
We though it better west to east and have better facilities to end with.
The heat in Bangladesh may be a killer.

Anyone else in the area let us know.

What is the reason for May/ June. Great route, but would be better in the new year surely?

Feb to June 2016

We'd go somewhere else but where.
Europe is out this year, not interested.

Feb to June would be good for cycling N up the Andes from Patagonia to Bolivia.

Feb to June might be good for starting somewhere in SE Asia, not too far south, and heading north into China as it warms up, or a similar northwards trajectory from southern Mexico or thereabouts.

But in general April/May is the worst time of year in India/SE Asia and many locations of similar latitude in the N hemisphere, unless you are at sufficient altitude.

Taiwan as a destination? Worth a thought..
