Hello.

If your on a tight scheduled cycling holiday avoid Son La to Dien Bien Phu. Done route but most of the 100 miles were more than awfull due to roadworks. It felt like they went on for 90% of time and "very hard " work. If it rains the sand turns to mud, in hot weather the traffic throws up dust storms. Luckily I had a sweat rag to cover face but still had bad cough for 2 days. If plenty of time on hands go for it because views really fantastic, but their are better places to cycle instead.

Good Cycling.

Geoff

Someone posted on this a short time ago - anyone any idea when the road works will be finished? I know the Vietnamese work hard, fast and well and I want a silk smooth road when I do it.
