Hello! I just moved to a small town in Bavaria (Germany) and recently got into bike riding. A friend and I were chatting that a 3-4 day bike ride might be a great way to see a place and have a fun adventure. The only problem is i have no idea where to start looking for ideas. I would like something that isn't too difficult since we are both new to riding and would like to enjoy the trip. Anything in the Bavaria area would great and might be easier (and cheaper) for us to do but from the research i have done it looks like France is a very popular destination. We could take a train to France, and either bring out bikes with us (maybe i would have to look into that with long distant trains) or rent a bike in the area. I would rather not do a booked tour since we are both light packers and both into the couchsurfing community so could stay that way. Any ideas would be extremely helpful! Thanks

The Tauern Cycle Route/Path would be a good option for 4 or 5 days.
Use this website to look for other possibilities. You'll find just about everything you need to know ...
Maybe even do your own webjournal so other people can learn about cycling in that area.
This is all awesome help and i love the sites you guys gave! My goal is to start a page once i get into it all just trying to figure out all the details at the moment!

http://www.rad-forum.de is a good source in every respect, from gear, itineraries and other practicalities.
