Older Travellers

We are three female old farts - or travelling tarts - who sometimes hang around this branch, who are planning an Alaska junket in Sept 2014. While we can get a cabin that could accommodate three, it might be a bit tight... so if there is anyone out there in the int'l world of OT'ers who would consider joining us, then we could get two cabins, ,Let me (us) know. I (finally) arrived in Tangier, Morocco on Tuesday, April 2nd, having stopped in Chicago and Madrid. My last leg was on Ryanair, a cheapie. When boarding I was required to stuff my (large) camera into my pack---one bag, strictly enforced! It really didn’t fit but I put some things into my pockets and made do. There were no seat assignments---I could see why everybody lined up 20 minutes before boarding time as everybody had carryon since Ryanair charges 50 euro per checked bag. They also…

In Delhi - Karol Bagh market is composed of open air and closed shops and is one of the oldest in Delhi – a market teeming with life – and with the whole lot offered from top brand footwear, to spices, to furniture to astounding mughal jewelery, clothing, etc. – all at amazing prices. Couldn't find mine all yesterday. Same again today, Plus I wasn't in the 'who's on' list, (top left hand) when I looked. Thought Auntie had done the dirty on me.

However, my icon was up there. I could get into my profile and settings and change them if I wished. I could also sign out.

So I signed out and then signed in again. Now I'm on the list.
However (again) my recent postings are not on the main page. But I can find them by going to 'recent activity' - once again listed under my icon…

We have drafted some sort of travel itinerary and seek your input:

London to Paris (stay in Paris for a week) 26 August to 2 Sept
Paris to Lyon (couple of nights)
Lyon to Avignon/Nimes (3-4 nights)
Avignon to Granada, Spain
Granada to Cordoba
Cordoba to Seville
Seville to Lisbon
Lisbon to London (flight)

We would prefer to travel preferably by train or a mixture of train and coach if that is convenient and economical. Would then fly from Lisbon to London.

Just wondered what was the best solution you have found or witnessed to the most creative utilisation of time on a long haul flight? We will make it economy flight and no mile high suggestions!
I watched a mother and daughter apply a fabric like face mask after meal service and leave it on for a long time, no doubt the time stipulated, and then remove it. I was told that this was one way to avoid wasting so much dead time on a long flight.
