I'm an experienced traveller, now living in Mexico, plannning on spending a couple of weeks in Oaxac, Mexico. Need affordable, centrally located accommodation....a hostel would be great if it's clean and quiet. Or staying with a family could work or a centrally located apartment. Anyone with some suggestions?

Are there any film buffs, movie celeb spotters who wish to visit this film festival at the end of November 2008 in Goa? We could meet up by the Mandovi river to discuss the movies over a beer and club sandwich.

I've just logged on to their site which looks interesting but mostly geared to younger people in their 20s and 30s. I'm not particularly interested in staying with them but meeting up for coffee, a drink, some chat sounds a good way to meet local people. Has anyone tried this and if so. how did it go?

After jitting 65, getting reasonable insurance gets difficult...i just found an agency that provides health insurance for up to 36 days for only $131.25!!!! that is amazingly lower than other estimates i have had... less than half of what the agency i booked the trip with is charging! I need some help from all you veteran travellers. I am looking for accomodation in San Jose, Quepos, and Monteverde. Since I have difficulty with stairs, I have been looking at hotels that have ground level entry and rooms. Price range, due to my difficulties, is no longer budget but hopefully in the middle range. I would like to be in the heart of either of those areas.

My other question is about getting from Costa Rica to Panama. There are four of us travelling together which is just great…
