Thanks Vanessa. I think a drop down menu on the community tab would be a great addition. I'll repeat my mantra....change is good...change is good! :-)
The bookmarks I had for TT still function fine. The only difference is that I have to log in more often.
lol gypsy! It can be :) Will definitely chat to the team about the dropdown. Anonimo - working on the log in matter. Should have some traction very soon.
Just LingOL about oldies having less tolerance .. surely it's the other way around?
As we get older we have seen changes and accept things might change more
easily than youngsters do. After all weren't the Cultural Revolution and the Khmer
Rouge intolerance and excesses the result of youthful intolerance and inability
to make judgements about whether something older was good or bad?
Sorry, I'll just pop back into my old fuddy-duddy philosophical cocoon.
LOL, lynnekeys. I find that I do have less tolerance the older I get, but I have the wisdom and the life experience to speak out appropriately, using trial and error of past mistakes. My youthful intolerance and lack of judgment always got me into trouble. :-) Now, at least I know the chain of command and have learned to prioritize the battles that are worth fighting, as well as those that I should leave alone.
I'm a 5th grade teacher, nearing retirement. We have been studying the Civil Rights Movement and Dr. Martin Luther King's 'weapons of love.' If I can pass on anything to my kids, I want them to understand how to use the weapons of love to fight their battles in life. It's OK to be intolerant of the injustices in the world, but the key to a successful battle is to fight those intolerances with love and compassion.
# 14 gypsytoes ..
You've summed it up well. I find my life experiences and extensive life's reading now allows me to hold my ammunition until something significant appears, rather than having a go at anything and anyone with which/whom I don't agree (as I did when I was younger and very politically active ). Now I am more politically aware and sometimes find that people with slight differences of opinion are easier to work with towards the desired goal than those with same opinions as myself but with an aggressive, sometimes destructive, approach. I CAN get very angry at times, but I go away, cool down, and look for a constructive way to come back on the issue; if I can't do that, I leave it.

This whole new format for LP is nothing but a load of crap! Push the ads and screw the users who made it what it was! I'm gone for good!

I just want to add one more thing. If you were to use Mozilla Firefox instead of using Internet Explorer, then Firefox will remember your User ID and Password for almost any website you use where you have to enter this info to be able to access the site. The only exception I have found is my financial institution where I have to fill in both every time.
Besides Firefox is a much better web browser than Internet Explorer, it gives you so many more add ons to use. For example in the Menu bar I have the temperature and weather forecast for the next 3 days displayed as it is in my home town. In the Status bar I have the temperature and upcoming weather displayed where I spend my winters.
