Hi,

Ok welcome back Auld guy, too few Scots on here. I was beginning to think I was the only Auld guy left alive. Look forward to your "little bit inappropriate" responses he he.

I am struggling with the same thing. I feel posters on this forum will respond informatively. However, I have read continually that “a feisty opinionated advice forum” is no longer approved on TT. With my latest 2 months of travel, I didn’t know what to post in my journal that would be accepted on this now changed board. With all the warnings conveyed to me, I felt controlled and totally lost my drive so to speak. A great deal of excellent information has been lost and many superb advisors about the world have left. Thus the possibility of getting an answer is not as assured as previous to the board changes. I sit here hoping that the ‘powers that be’ will realize that the meat of this travel forum - IMOH - has been deleted. Don’t concern yourself with the number of posts noted under each handle – that means nada. I have been on this board for eons and now with the board changes, am down to 97 posts. Keep hoping for improvements to enable great travelling.

Quirky, different and sometimes totally stupid answers are not tolerated by the B B C, and the purge has badly affected the 5 branches I contribute to most. Another branch I read occasionally for a different perspective has been removed altogether (G a y & L e s b i a n Travel). So much for openness and inclusivity.

Hi,

Hmm and here's me thinking that the BBC has sold Lonely Planet BP007.
