I'm trying to find a trip for my 70 yr old father in law. I'm looking for a small tour, maybe 15ish people that he'll be comfortable going on as a single.
Are companies like Exodus, Explore, etc suitable for seniors?
I've looked a bit into ElderTreks, does anyone have any experience travelling with them?
Are there any other similar tour companies.
I'm particularly interested in finding a small yacht trip.
Many Exodus & Explore tours will be suitable for a 70 year old - their trips vary considerably in content so HE should check the dossier before making a decision.
He's obviously going to choose the trip he wants, he just needs a little push as he thinks only things like massive herded around coach tours exist.
The Adventure Company used to have a dedicated website but I think they still do trips dedicated for 'seniors'

I have been on several Eldertrek tours, and found them to be really good. Small groups, good leaders. They have a number of sailing type trips. Of course there is always the Galapagos... depending on how fit he is. There are quite a few 'wet' landings that can be a bit rough.
I'm 68. I stay in youth hostels/ They are age friendly and family oriented. They have tours of the city. And free nbreakfast till 10 a.m.
I didn't see what time of year he'll come over.

He can get a good pack at a garage sale But train to fit one and pick one for our purpose With a belly strap, for balance and weight on hips, not shoulders. Go to a good camping store. Get help from clerk who's done it.

"Is he hip?"
No, not in any way. He's only 70 but he seems more lie mid-80s. He's incredibly out of shape (exercise consists of walking from the house to the car.) His main interest is sailing. But he won't do a trip like a big coach tour, it's too beneath him yet he needs to be led around. So I was looking for a smaller size, slower pace tour that he could keep up with.
