red roxx, one planet available in the UK?

Anyone know of an outlet for decent quality carry on size (35-40 L) rucksacks/backpacks in the UK? I've seen Red Roxx and One Planet recommended on this branch. I'm 50 now so am looking for something to hopefully last me 25-30 years.

One Planet are Aus made. A quick look at their distributors shows only Aus and NZ outlets. Try emailing them to see if they export further.

So you want a backpack that outlives you? Why not look for one that fits your needs now and after some years, when it's dirty and greasy or just doesn't fit your needs anymore buy another one? Your body will change in the course of the years and so the backpack that fits now may not fit after some years.
Modern stuff tends to get better and even more ergonomic while prices don't get higher. and you don't want to walk around with a filthy piece of luggage on your body like so many others do? Have you noticed how natives in poor countries look to those backpackers clothed in dirty rags and carrying dirty luggage? They are the ones who always get hold up at customs and don't find nice rooms. I was told this by the people in different countries in Asia.But I guess it happens like this everywhere.

I don't know what you do with your bags Anamore but mine wear out, the stitching goes, straps break but they never get dirty and greasy, a bit dusty maybe. I like my bags and things to last as they bring back memories for me, I never take photos but one look at my rucksack brings back all the pictures I need. I know what you're saying though, grey hair, a clean shirt with a collar and I generally get treated like royalty where ever I go.

My luggage suffers the most in the airplanes, or in those buses crossing dusty roads . Yes also often due to my own stupidity I just try to pack as much as possible until the stitching's go open or a zip breaks. But I remember 2 backpacks I gave away, one of them my first one long ago. I bought the biggest one and was happy with it until I discovered that It was just way to big for a small person like me, and going in and out of buses or climbing stairs I would look like a drunkard trying to stay in balance. I was 50 Kg at the time and carrying 30kg ( I had also bought 2 rugs in Turkey and all of it had to go with me). The other one years later was a good one but to get something from under it you had to unpack the whole thing. and those pockets outside which first looked so handy turned out to get open very easy by people who took my camera and my sport shoes away while I wasn't paying attention or just had left it at the hotel reception to go a day off. Now i know: in the pockets outside only carry stuff like underwear, but no technical stuff, or sports shoes, and big backpacks are forbidden because the more space I have the more I carry while after one week I pretty much know half of it is not needed. And yes I am also turning 50, so I save my energy for better purposes.
Anyway buy your backpack at home and not somewhere in Asia because probably something will be wrong with it. The well know brands mostly didn't pass the quality control and end up in the cheap shops. This goes for shoes as well. If you try to buy somewhere be sure you pay so little for it that it won't bother you to have to throw it away after sometime. Buying brand clothes at home for holiday in poor countries is another waste of money, unless you stay in good hotels where they take good care of the laundry. I don't do that so I have discovered that some simple stuff will do and never pay much attention to it when it comes back form the washing.
I am glad you agree with me on that part of looking "decent", I have seen how it can turn off people and cause problems and I honestly speaking don't like those careless dirty types.

Sounds like you need a roll-a-long backpack. I loved my Eagle Creek 22inch. with zip-off day pack. $300 yank.
