Dear Older travellors

I must admit that I'm one now though I don't feel it. I'm a 51 year Australian woman and off to NYC for 10 days. Trip over is paid by work and I don't have a huge salary so would rather spend on travelling rather than the bed. I'm thinking at re-staying at the Chelsea International Hostel. Do any of you have any other recommendations in the lower part of Manhattan that an older travellor can stay in and still comfortable with all the younger folk?

cheers.

Jazz Hostels has one in the East Village. I've been to a different one of their hostels in NYC, but it didn't seem like it was only for the young party crowd. You could call and ask...
