My pictures from the Italy/Greece trip are ready to view at:
Thank you I've just had a quick look and am going back to read it all when I've time. It reminds me so much of my trip to some of the areas in 1988.

Love the pics and trip reports. I often wonder these days if I can possibly live long enough to see all the places I want to see :)
I know what you mean---now that I'm 75, I've got a list going that I consult often in my planning, which goes on all the time! I'm thinking that I maybe have to go three places a year instead of two, which has been my habit, lately.
Thanks Lor, for the wonderful travelogue. I enjoyed it immensely and can appreciate all the hard work that went into it. It brought back lots of memories of places visited, and rekindled the desire to see more. I have been travelling yearly since 1979, the last places being the Tanimbar Islands of far eastern Indonesia and West Papua. Since coming home a few weeks ago, have had a triple coronary by-pass and am now recovering. However, they have given me another 20 years !!! (a bit much I think), so next year I will be off on my travels again.
I recently saw a documentary about 3 Australian guys in their 60's who had had by-passes, and successfully climbed the Kododa Trail in New Guinea. It was very encouraging.
Lovely, Carol, just lovely.
Having looked at the text as you went along, it's intriguing to see how the photos enhance the experience.
Love your occasional light touch, to wit:
“Friends, Romans, Countrymen” . Good line; wish I’d thought of it.
"I strode up the Sacred Way to the Temple of Apollo to see what the Oracle of Delphi had to say. Well, she didn’t say anything, but I didn’t feel bad because Alexander the Great had trouble getting the answer that he wanted from her, too."
Loved the hill towns. Reminded me of my all-too-brief visit to Provence (Gorde, for example).
Corinth Canal. Photo sure helps visualize that little gem, dunnit?
Thanks for the time and energy you put into this.
