I am planning a tour of Iran in late September or October/09 and would like to meet a female travelling companion who is also interested in going there. I am in my sixties and have been lucky enogh to travel to many parts of the world including Europe, Middle East, North and South America and North Africa. I have lived in Iran many years ago for six years and visited again three years ago with my sister. I booked a tour online with a company in Iran which I plan to do again. I live in Canada but went to Iran on my British passport from the UK. I speak Farsi so that helps. I'd love to hear from another lady like me who is interested in this fascinating country. Pauline

Saw your posting on Iran. My husband and I would like to visit Iran also, we saw quite a few travel shows lately on Iran. I was wondering why after living there you book tours rather than travelling solo? I haven't done a lot of research on this country. My husband and I have never been to the middle east apart from Tunisa and Morrocco but travelled to over 90 countries.
Would like to get your feedback and also would you recommend the company you used. We are also Canadians.

i post and reply quite a bit on LP Iran Forum. there are some canadians who visit iran but nothing compared to the number of british and australians who seems to be heading this way all the time. to find traveling partners i think it would be post if you post an ad. on Iran Forum and wait for a response. good luck.
spaceone, i recommend 'key2persia' (aka Pars Travel Agency). Most travel agencies in Europe and US are really nothing but intermediaries and 'middlemen' as far arranging tours to iran are concerned. and you will always end up paying more that you should, i think. take care.amir
