| goldenoldie15:40 UTC25 Oct 2007 | Yesterday I spent three hours unpicking gold beads from the neckline of a hot pink chiffon silk shalwar kemiz, leaving on only a few gold beads plus some sequins. Net result: pattern stays, but OTT glitz all gone.
At last - it 'fits my face' again, and I can wear it with pride.
I was so sad last year when I put it on to go out and, looking at the face above it, decided it was the last time I'd be able to wear it. Went out to a 60th birthday dinner in Brick Lane with my son on that occasion. It was night, so street lighting was kind to my face. So many people came up to me and complimented me; 'nice dress' etc. One guy even said 'You're beautiful!' My son said he felt he was accompanying royalty and said he'd take me there again any time - so long as I wore 'that dress' ;-))
YooHoo - I'll be dropping hints again pretty soon ....

your outfit sounds lovely, GO.
