How old is an older traveller?

According to come people I'm an older traveller at 35!! We're doing a RTW trip next year and I'll be 36 by then!! far too old to do that!! lol

Your immigration personnel were bloody rude 40 years ago but recent unpleasantnesses and the creation of a new homeland security bureaucracy has given them an open and unslathered opportunity to improve on this. They have done well.

Having established my curmudgeon status I'll now venture that age is a state of mind and while I remain young the Memsahib is ageing and beginning to insist on accommodation and transport a little above backpacker level. I am happy to comply.

I am agahst to see people in their 30s and 40s venturing onto this branch. I am more than happy to accept those kids in their fifties who seek refuge with their seniors.

In some cases old enough to know better than to wear flip-flops on the streets of a crowded, polluted city with a questionable sewage system. My guess, from what I see in Bangkok, should put that around 42, depends on how many mashed toes and infected wounds they experience. It's a matter of natural selection.

I wish I had a dollar for every time someone strays into this branch and asks this question. What we need is a cyber-bouncer at the door to keep out the kids.
