How times passes. In a lot of ways, it is like yesterday that I first ventured out on my travel but not so, according to the calendar. I did enjoy myself on the whole but there were a couple of times when I felt homesick and longed to be back with my family, human, feathered and furred.
Highlights of my trip
Transitting in Singapore without too much mishap and a lot of fun meeting up with young people who readily took me under their wings.
Meeting and staying with online friends
An opportunity to sail and be part of the crew in a sailing race.
Staying in budget hostels and meeting other travellers
Trip to Cambodia, Angkor Wat temple, markets, shopping (bought too many silk scarves)
Enjoying local food
Lowlights, thankfully not many
24 hour tummy bug
smelly local dunnies
missed my flight which means that it cost me heaps to buy another flight to Oz.
I want to thank you for your support, tips and sound advice I have been given to make this trip such a positive experience for me.
