Hi to everyone - particularly those I really do "know".
We are on the road for past couple of months - Morocco for a month by car first. Then we picked up an RV in Madrid and have been traveling in Spain and Portugal. Sorry we missed the gang in Seville. We were also there for feiria. Enjoyed it enormously. Favourite place so far has been Lisbon.

Have been trying to travel lighter this time with just a smartphobe - thus all the keyboarding errors :)

Anyone on my subscription list from lifewellspent.com has been getting road reports via email but for a variety of reasons not posting to TT this time. Go2 I am sorry but your email address just keeps bouncing back on me.

When I return home in late May I will post all reports and photos to my site and let you know.

Living - not sure what email address you're trying to use.
Watsoff got one through to me on my new TT dedicated one so it does work ok. Maybe you're trying the wrong ending on my other one. It's dot com, not the uk ending...
Have to try and get into the Alhambra tomorrow so won't send you an email tonight. Just glad you're having a great time and sorry we missed each other.

Go2 if you read this - we called the tel # for tickets (in lp) and got them that way. It was dead easy. We had actually gone there in person and were told the only way to buy was early in morning of same day. In any event should not worry as not packed these days. Take lunch with you. Onsite is awful.

nThanks, Living. The ticket office had actually given me a phone number, but as I don't have a cellphone it was a bit useless. And by the time i found the shop where you can buy tickets directly there were none left - so they told me to just turn up early and I'd probably be lucky.

I was - I got in! With a Nasrid Palace time-slot of 10.30 so just perfect. Time to see the Generaliffe section first.
Mind you, I was up at 6.00am and standing in line at 7.00am; I was the 17th person there and the line was very, very long by the time the ticket office opened, so things are hotting up.

Just before the Court of Lions my camera suddenly got a low battery signal but i held my breath and just kept on shooting - anything and everything. It kept right on working and is now getting the charge of it's life. I figured it deserved a treat. :>))

I, too, wasn't impressed with the food inside. But the coffee shop just to the right of the entrance that we all ran to after getting our tickets had fairly decent coffee and pastries at a decent price. I bought coffee and a large chocolate croissant for 3.6 euros which wasn't much more than down in the town.
It's a measure of how badly i wanted to see the Alhambra that I waited that long for my first coffee of the day!!!
But now - been there, done that, got the pictures... Hurrah!
