I don't know how old this guy is but he posted it on the Canada branch. I thought it deserved a mention here.
Heres the link

p.s. I doubt that the RBC policy is good for countries on THE list - like Indonesia. On my last trip to Indon. I had a hard time finding a co. that would carry it. But then I realized that Visa offered exactly what I needed and not only would pay in a country on THE list, but would pay a certain sum in case of a terrorist attack causing injuries. Most impressive.

As I have had coverage from RBC for many years now, and have never seen ‘THE’ list - I decided to contact RBC. They advised - that their insurance coverage is still world wide and at present most definitely covers those traveling to Indonesia. Right now, it does not cover Pakistan due to the obvious unrest. That to me is reasonable. They also advised that there is extra coverage if it is a must I travel in countries where such unrest is being experienced.
For those Canadians that may be interested: Over the years I have received nothing but excellent service from RBC. You have to be a Canadian. You can apply for it separately on the web (or by phone) - I have it included in my VISA Gold Preferred package. In this, I receive one month’s full travel insurance to anywhere in the world, and I pay out of pocket if I wish to stay for a longer time. That means that if I come back home after 1 month, or 3 months or – when travelling about the world – stay home for at least a day – I can again take off within that same year for another trip and will have the same coverage, being that the first 30 days will be free and so on. I also get coverage for my husband using the same card.
My Visa Gold Preferred card provides the following insurance:
Out of Province/Country Emergency Medical
Auto Rental Collision/Loss Damage
Travel Accident Insurance
Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption
Emergency Purchases Insurance
Purchase Security & Extended Warranty Insurance
Hotel/Motel Burglary Insurance
Flight Delay Insurance
I pay $110.00 a year for this card.
Our trip last spring to Vietnam and China lasted 66 days.
Using this card, the out of country medical insurance cost me $79.00 Canadian (64 years of age) and hubby $284.00 (73 years of age)
