So there's no spaces between paragraphs, big deal. And why should we all talk/write/think/breathe the same way? Get a life, it is a good report and easily understandable by all.

Carry on, OP. A favorite memory of mine is sitting atop the Pagoda of Wisdom at Bagan in Myanmar watching the sun set over the Irawaddy with some Aussies, Kiwis, Limeys, and Yanks, when sombody used the term "duff up". The explanaion of what that idiom meant got tangled up in more slang, and it turned pretty hilaious. As the lone Canadians, and thus the only speakers of perfect and unaccented English in the world (ahem), we were partiularly amused when one of the Brits said, "There you have it. Five nations separated by a common language." Hardnohing appears to be one of those types who can't get past the idiom because he's an idiot. Illegitimus non carborundum.

On the other hand, you do insult BCers by talking about the area north of Jasper including Grand Cache and Grande Prairie as if it were BC. That's all Alberta, which accounts for your unfortunate Redneck encounters. BC of course is too evolved to have those types. You might also indicate what months this trip took place.

Cheers.

i enjoyed the post - its' always nice to see one's home province/country seen from a visitor's perspective!!! ... and while it is nice to have spacing between paragraphs, i know what happens sometimes with cut and pastes, and it was no big deal... certainly not serious enough to get one's knickers in a twist!! we are obviously being Trolled by some idiot that we have never heard of before.... a Turkestani criticizing an English speakers English??? the posts scream of TROLL

Somewhat of a bland report, but glad to see you survived the doof doof
rednecks. Most call 'em pot heads now days, but I still like sap-buckets
better, just a little more Canadian. eh? Turkmenistan? Ha! Ha! The closest
this jerk has been to Turkmenistan is Bloor avenue in Toronto. My guess
is the T-stan reference is that he's a hash smoker from east Burnaby, and
not much more. Something like ..... puff puff .... ok now let's search TT for
Canada .... puff puff ..... OH NO!!!! My tender sensibilities has been violated again!
