After over eight years living in China I find myself back in Australia. I'd visited during that time, but coming back for a longer time required having to do some permanent type things. Shock horror. The red tap brigade came out in force. However the really best bit is I'm living a delightful permanently sited caravan owned by my daughter & her husband. Having baby number two forced them to move out. This caravan is in a small park in a village, Donnybrook, on the side of the Pumistone passage, Sth East QLD. Maybe one hour Nth of Brisbane. From my front patio I look straight down the boat ramp to the water. The very best spot in town. The bird life here is prolific....several pelicans live here. They are always on watch for fisherman cleaning up their catch. In the casual camping area many travellers come & go...they all come for the fishing & the lovely environment....but I'm amazed at how many of the visitors live quite close by. Some have been coming here regulary for many years. In the permanent van area there are only 20 vans of which only 5 have permanent residents. Apart from me, the others have all been here a long time.
After China I bet it seems especially quiet and no traffic at all. JoyV | 1
