We stayed in Mexico one winter. Our hosts were the "Internet Police". Everyday, both of them sat at their computers and edited out "bad" comments and websites. They were actually paid for doing this. They came from Canada but now living full time in the Yucatan. Talk about freedom of the internet. Your kidding me, of course! Freedom came but it quickly went. Now the Winnipeg Free Press is going to charge money for anyone wanting to comment on their news stories. Bah!

Yeah right whatever, but I still don't see an answer to the question asked on SEA branch: where should I go... what should I do?

It's why I stay with TT. Even though I may (and frequently do) call down imprecations upon the Mods, I stay because of the people/posters here - their generosity, their response to fellow travellers in need.

When you've had help from TT you tend to stay - and offer help in return. Sharing: it's what makes the world go round.

I still haven't found anything that is anywhere near as good as TT for Australia and the South Pacific.

TT-OT is the best. Don't give up, just keep plugging at it and soon the mods will come to realise that we intend to fight for this community and keep fighting to make it interesting. :)

The fact that one can no longer send people personal messages is quite annoying, there are often phone number or email addresses you would like to help someone out with, but don't want to broadcast to the world.

Also, it seems that overzealous moderators taking down contentious threads has removed a lot of good info. I recently participated in a thread about a "contentious" part of the world (guess where) that attracted a load of abuse from some of the irritable and agressive inhabitants of that part of the world (guess who). Anyway, instead of leaving it up and letting people sort the good info from the troll rantings, it was all taken down.

Haven't a clue of where and who. Should I??? This remark sounds rather racist and devious to me.
