While i do have copies of most of my travel tales, i decided i would go back and make some copies of the africa trip stuff before the big bbc changeover....... They are only a year old. Imagine my surprise to find that while the stories i posted in 2003 in CA were still there, and just about all the other stuff is gone. so weird... i wonder how they make the decisions of what and when to delete posts...

I think they have "a tidy up" sometimes. They can't keep evrything forever! But I don't think things are permanently deleted. It happened on one of the other branches recently and some of the deleted posts were resurrected after a quick request to the moderator.

Actually I think the search isn't working at all at the moment. It can't find anything at all!

Hi Canayjun - your African threads may have disappeared, but it still shows you as having 974 threads on TT - I've had hundreds of posts since the last update in 2000, but it now only shows me as having 69. It seems pretty strange that some people have maintained all their posts, and others have lost almost all of them. But then, that is certainly not the only strange thing on this new TT!!!
The typeface is pretty strange too. The spacing between letters is irregular, making the whole thing look very amateurish.
