Thanks for your varied and imaginative replies. They make me want to live a long time so I have time to see the beautiful places and activities you've suggested. Negotiations in the group will be interesting.

The woman who is a high maintenence broad, and always makes everyone wait for her. Fire her ass! Tell her personnally that we're all tired of her selfish big entrance bs!. Tell her to go off, on her own, she'll really enjoy it more.

You only have so much time, and too big a group to herd.
Go off in 2s or 3s.

My family did lots of team travel. We discovered we get along better, if we take SOLO days off.

good luck. next time bp solo and dig what you've missed. Like the helpfulness of locals. But if you go through cities, like a flash card, you'll never know what you're really overlooking.

and hear people out!!!!!!!!!!
We don't have to have the last cliché.

I agree groups can be hard to handle. I've organized European trips for up to 6 friends, and 15 seems like a very large group. Once people actually have to lay their money down, you might find some aren't ready or able to commit. Some surprising things I've learned about groups are:

Generally, it's best to have the decisions made before the trip, as to what you will do. Most people don't want to be bothered to have to make up their minds and just like to go along with what you've decided is best. It saves a lot of milling around time not to dither about deciding what to do.

If you have people too strong- minded for that, try letting different individuals make decisions for a day. It's really amazing how long you can spend deciding what to do by consensus; and then you feel you've wasted time.

I have always scrupulously told my friends what I planned for us, thinking they might like to have input. Usually they are busy, and just happy to have someone do the planning for them.
